Here at Coppice Farm, we have high behaviour expectations, linked to our school values. Optimum learning takes places in a calm atmosphere where expectations are clear and routines are well-established and embedded.
We encourage our children to do the right thing by trying to make them understand that they are a part of our school community and that negative actions and negative words will have an impact on others around them. We want them to move beyond our school gates with skills that are transferable and welcomed in the local community and beyond. We encourage all pupils to GO FOR GOLD every day and time is given to reflect and discuss negative choices to help the children understand and enable them to make more positive choices moving forward.
We believe in celebrating positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom with respect and kindness being a priority for all members of our school community.
RECOGNISING, CELEBRATING AND REWARDING POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR
HALL OF FAME
Every week, we focus on one of our school values or a British Value,
At the end of the week, a child from each class is awarded the Hall of Fame certificate for showing a wonderful understanding of and putting the focus value into practise throughout the week.
Our daily behaviour chart encourages all children to go for gold and children who finish the school day on the gold star receive a Golden Ticket!
At the end of the term, tickets are drawn and a special treat is enjoyed by the golden ticket winners!
PLAYGROUND ROLE MODELS
Every breaktime, staff look out for children who play inclusively, are kind, have good manners and embody our school values - they are presented with a raffle ticket which they then post in the raffle box. At the end of each half-term, tickets are drawn and children across school choose a special prize to take home.
At the end of each half term, teachers choose their half term superstars and a special VIP Secret invitation is sent home to invite parents / carers to join us for our celebration assembly.
Children can earn Dojo points for a range of class specific goals set by the class teaching team.
