Welcome to our Emotional Literacy support page.

Mr Grady, our ELSA  and Pupil Well-being Lead, works with children across school alongside Miss Wear. They both provide important emotion and well-being support for our pupils and are on hand to provide advice and support to our families as part of our new Pastoral Team. 

Below is a message from Mr Grady and some links to support your children.

As Coppice Farm’s ELSA, I have undergone training with an Child Educational Psychologist learning on how to support and deliver emotional wellbeing within school.

I plan and deliver tailored sessions to individual children or small groups who have been identified as needing some additional support with their emotional needs. Working alongside the class teachers, we will help children identify their needs and try to find some strategies and resolutions, building up their personal resilience. By removing these barriers,

I am hoping the sessions can then translated into the children's everyday life at school and at home which will then enable the child to reach their full social and academic potential. My sessions are enjoyable, caring and supportive and I believe this helps me build a very important relationship with the children.

Many children have already completed ELSA sessions and I have had lots of positive feedback about their new abilities to deal with their emotional needs.
